Row D - 2 blocks

Well, I had challenged myself to 2 blocks per week in May and prepared 4 early in the month. We have reach the middle of the month and I have only completed 2 of my blocks so far.
I have finished D7 Meeting Place, hand-pieced and sewn to D6

and also D8 Dee Dee's Delight, reverse applique.

That takes me to 119 blocks so far, 50 more to finish the centre.

2 more blocks in April

I managed to finish (only) 2 more blocks in April.
First I pieced A-4 Courtney's Stethoscope and added the sashing. I am only missing 2 blocks now in Row A1 and A2, all my other blocks are stitched together, nearly there!

I also finished M-11 Rickshaw on Monday, during swimming lesson. I choose reverse applique for this block rather than piecing all these little diamonds. I need to sew the sashing on this one and add it to the rest of my Row M blocks.

My numbers now are: 117, 7, 0, 2493.
Slow progress but some progress!

One more block

We went away for Easter to visit family so I thought/hoped I would have lots of time to sit down and sew and make lots of progress on my Dear Jane. Well I didn't progress as much as I thought/wanted but at least I have finished one more block L3 Reflections Abound which I had started at the end of March. I have even sewn the sashing and added it to my Row L.

I now have 115 blocks completed, another 54 to go and counting!

And now one triangle

Productive Dear Jane week for me as I finished stitching a triangle that I prepared last month. I now have RS4 Dutch Apron finished:

which takes my numbers to: 114,7,0,2437.
I need to get back to the cutting table to prepare more blocks now.

Back to Jane with one block

 I did it! I completed one Dear Jane block this week. I had prepared the pieces for A-10 early in February in the hope to sew it while we were at my Mum's for a few days but I only picked it up this last Sunday. I sew my block over 2 evenings and it is now finished: applique and reverse applique.

I have also added the sashing on A-3 yesterday evening.
I am now at 114,6,0,2426. 55 more blocks to finish the centre and 3 more blocks (A1, A2 and A4) to complete Row A.

A block and a triangle

Second post in a month, I hope I can keep up throughout the year!
I have finally completed the triangle I started over a week ago before the week-end. TR12 Jane's Oak was a simple applique triangle but it was a good one to start back on the triangles

I have also completed a block - applique again - B12 Starflower

This takes my total to 113 blocks, 6 triangles and 2419 pieces so far!

A3 Hunter's Moon - finally one block finished!

STOP PRESS: I have completed one Dear Jane block yesterday afternoon!

OK it was a relatively easy one that I choose to do with reverse applique but it is a milestone for me as I hadn't done a block since 2007. I did 3 triangles in 2010 but that was the extent of my progress in the last 4 to 5 years. Anyway, here is my A3 which will definitely feature in the "Finished is better than Perfect" category!
This blocks now bring me to 112 blocks completed and 2415 pieces altogether.

I have selected a new block for this week, I'll try to complete B12 while also working on one (or more) triangles if possible.
