Look Out, Jane~!

Now that we're finally settled into our interim apartment after moving cross-country to Colorado Springs, I'm working on catching up my Dear Jane work to the current month. (I'm doing mine through a block-of-the-month program that sends me the fabrics for 10 blocks each month.)  I've brought mine up through the March set so far!

Here are the latest additions bringing my pieces-sewn-together total to 1601:

Finally finished F

I have been busy with row F and have now added it to the other 5 rows. Here are the blocks (some look 'overcooked' but it is the camera, not poor ironing skills!!!)

Quilting my DJ

I'm slowly hand quilting my DJ, I machine quilted all the sashing with a serpentine stitch as some parts of my sashing weren't as straight as they could be and the straight line of quilting that I started with just looked wrong.

 F-10 Potholder

I've been trying to quilt at least one block most days, I thread up quite a few needles so I don't lose momentum once I start the quilting.  I have no particular plan of how I will quilt each block, I just look at them for a bit and let the block decide.

The block above was one of my first attempts at applique, by the time I finished all the blocks I had improved 100%
