Quilting THE QUILT

Hi there fellow Janiacs,
I haven't been on here for quite some time!! I finished the quilt top last year and have had it in the 'Too Hard' pile ever since. I have had it basted and now face the task of hand quilting!!!! I am not sure where to start - except probably in the middle!!
Does anyone know where to find the actual quilting design? There are no tips or instructions in the book.

AQA Dear Jane Exhibition

I went to the exhibition late on Friday and it did take a while for me to find mine!! It was in the far left hand row, second in! I also loved Angela Davis's coloured Liberty (which won the people's choice) and was lucky enough to meet her and we spent ages discussing our hunt for Liberty fabrics!!

Her friend was even wearing a Liberty dress - I had the fabric in my quilt!! Here she is pointing it out - we did have a laugh!

It was great to see so many versions of Jane's quilt all in one space..........it has given me the inspiration to get on with all those triangles!!!!

Hi everyone,

Just had to put this post up as I have been really busy this summer trying to finish the centre section. I am entering it in the DJ quilt exhibition in February that Vicki told us about back in October. Hopefully there will be some others from this site entering theirs too!!

Row H finished for August

I am trying to complete a row per month and have managed to reach my goal again for August. I did start out hand piecing all my blocks, but decided I would not finish my quilt until the NEXT century!! I have taken to paper piecing and hand appliqué which has made things a LOT quicker and no doubt much more accurate..............

As it is now officially winter here I have been spending a bit of time sewing and here is this weekend's result. I have also started an Around The World Bee on Flickr with a friend in New Zealand.
