Justin's Comet

Let me start by saying, I've always avoided mitered corners (unless binding) or set in corners, whatever the correct term is.  I'm a quilter who likes straight lines and simple intersections. So I printed the template directions from the Dear Jane software and cut my fabric and sat down to sew.
The picture above shows the first set in corner I have ever attempted.  Let me tell you, believe it or not it was a piece of cake.
So I continued with the other four corners and they came together just as easy.
I'm not sure what the right method or order of stitching is for this block. So I came up with my own plan as I went along.
Almost there now, just two more pieces to sew in.  Would you believe it only took me about 30 minutes to put this block together?  I think it's my favorite one I've attempted so far.  But that could be because it's provided the least frustration.  Or it could be that it is the most recent one I've completed. I think that's what happens.  Whichever one you just did is your favorite Baby Jane.
I hope you're still loving your Baby Jane.
